A PERSONAL, FOCUSED APPROACH

The right explanation changes what you can do next.

Students often tell me that lessons feel clear, accurate, and easy to follow. I explain the reason behind an error, give you a better option, and make space to practise it until it feels usable.

I work primarily with adult learners from diverse language backgrounds. My approach is warm and encouraging, but always purposeful: enjoyable lessons, direct feedback, and progress you can recognise in real communication.

WHO I WORK WITH

Two common reasons learners come to Glocalish.

01 / IELTS

Your score has stopped moving.

For intermediate learners whose IELTS Speaking or Writing score has plateaued, particularly when a target score and a deadline both matter. We identify the criteria that are holding you back and make the preparation specific to you.

02 / ADVANCED SPEAKING

Everyday English is no longer enough.

For intermediate and upper-intermediate adults who want clearer pronunciation, more natural phrasing, and richer vocabulary. You may use English every day or have lived abroad for years, but still feel limited by how precisely you can express yourself.

WHAT WORKING TOGETHER LOOKS LIKE

A focused route from your goal to your next step.

There is no generic lesson plan. The starting point is your goal, your current level, and the patterns that are getting in your way.

  1. 01

    Start with a useful diagnosis

In a free 30-minute consultation, we discuss your goal and timeline. A short speaking interview helps me understand your current level; a writing task can be used when it is relevant.

  2. 02

    Build the right curriculum

Your lessons are shaped around the language you need: IELTS preparation, business English, advanced or academic expression, or stronger everyday communication. We focus on the patterns that limit clarity, range, or accuracy, then practise better options you can use.

  3. 03

Use feedback while it is fresh

Speaking is corrected and practised in the lesson, with vocabulary support before or after class. For writing, you can submit a photo of your work and receive clear written feedback to guide the next draft.

TEACHING THAT CONNECTS TO REAL USE

English teaching should expand what you can do.

Whether you are preparing for IELTS, business communication, academic work, or more advanced everyday English, the goal is the same: accurate language, stronger ideas, and the confidence to respond naturally.

Lessons develop clearer pronunciation, more precise vocabulary, and language that sounds like you rather than a memorised script.
